What's funny is this time Azuregos and his spirit are walking together. When feign death is up I return back to that screen and rez my bird I then proceed to find him again (he's wandered since our little talk)to do an experiment. I feign death and look him up while I'm feigning to see what he's about. If anyone dies in this fight they cannot come back and rejoin the fight as they will have a debuff on the called mark of frost that basically puts people in an ice block for 15 mins.Ĭomment by ThottbotOkay so I saw Azuregos was neutral and I decided to talk to him, mistake, he's enraged and kills my bird. This fight usually is a long fight so if at any time you need to gain mana it is possible for you to leave combat just make sure its after you take a teleport and then you can run out of range and you will loose agro a few seconds after to enable you to eat and drink. If he does this then no ranged dps should be casting upon him.
He will do a magic reflect ability and its easily shown when he does this as sparks of blue light will be coming from his mouth area. Just treat each new teleport as if you were freshly engaging him each time. It resets agro on everyone so you have to wait each time after he does it for the MT to regain sufficent agro again so you can continue dps on him. The reason for keeping everyone withn teleport range is when he does it. As the same with every other dragon just keep the MT taking the breaths and have all your dps either side of him and healers to the sides. Once Azuregos has been engaged everyone should be standing close to him (30 yards) this is so when he does his teleport ability that everyone gets it. The secret is to think of this spell as a good spell for everyone to get because if everyone is getting it then noone will have agro but if a MT gets it and there are still players out of range not getting this then Azuregos will have agro on them and it may be a pain to get agro back onto the MT's. This is the main trick to this whole fight. Teleports all players within 30 yards directly on top of him and completely resets aggro. Once he teleports everyone near him he usually does this spell so its best to run straight away from him the second you are teleported. When this appears just stop casting.Īzuregos will cast Blizzard spell like at random points close to him, this spell also drains mana. Just make sure all your casters keep an eye out for the blue sparks coming from his mouth. This was put in place by blizzard to stop guilds graveyard rezzing and killing him this way there is no way to avoid this except not to die.Īzuregos periodically puts up a magic reflection shield that bounces spells back at the caster. Mark of Frost will persist through death and resurrection. (You get it on death): A player who is hit with the Mark of Frost will be temporarily (15 min) frozen in a block of ice should they attempt to re-engage Azuregos.
